Enrollment information will be provided once the application is accepted. Payment options will be offered at the time of enrollment. Enrollment will be closed once the program reaches full capacity.

Summer Research Program (SRP)

Introducing Psychology Bound’s Summer Research Program – A place for Undergraduate Students who are highly motivated and wish for unique opportunities in the field of Psychology.

In the span of 6-weeks, this program aims to provide you with an opportunity to select a research topic (see application for more information). Guidelines for the self-guided literature review will be provided along with opportunity to produce a meaningful end-product. In addition, the program is designed to provide support, connection, and presentations to learn insights and engage in self-reflection regarding future career goals.

The SRP offers a unique and intensive opportunity to learn about evidence-based clinical interventions by way of literature review. Guided by Dr. Netto and supported by a post-doctoral resident, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and expert answers. Weekly topics may include:

  • Introductions and Topic Selection

  • Evidenced Based Research in Clinical Practice

  • Identifying Strengths and Vision

  • Specialty areas in Psychology and mental health

  • Clinical Case Examples

  • and much more

Online meetings will take place from 5:00 – 6:30 PM EST for six weeks every Tuesday. A community platform will allow for ongoing support, connection and questions as needed.

The cost is $497 and includes a bonus one-to-one session with Dr. Netto following completion of the program (for those who enroll early). Can’t make it one week? Let us know and we can provide you with the recording.

Meet Dr. Netto

Dr. Netto is a bilingual licensed psychologist in Coral Gables, Florida. She earned the Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 1997. She went on to complete a 2-year post-doctoral residency in Neuropsychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Behavioral Medicine. She worked for many years at Jackson Medical Center, serving as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Miami Medical School. She was involved in clinical practice, research and training of psychology graduate students (residents, interns and practicum). She served as Director of Outpatient Neuropsychological Services while providing clinical care in various areas throughout the hospital (ICU, medical floors, neurosurgical floors, inpatient rehabilitation, etc.).

With a desire to provide high quality care and achieve greater work-family balance, Dr. Netto transitioned to private practice in 2020. She is the founder of Brain Health & Rehabilitation where she provides a variety of services to a wide range of patients and families while primarily focusing on her areas of expertise:

  • Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology

  • This program is designed for psychology undergraduate students looking to gain clinical research experience and insights regarding a career in psychology. It is best suited for students in their sophomore, junior, or senior years.

  • This program is designed to be flexible, meaning you set your own days and times. On average, literature review may take 10-15 hours per week although this will vary. Online sessions are 1.5 hours. There will also be access to community discussion; although participation is encouraged, the amount of time spent will depend on your preference and needs.

  • No prior experience is necessary! Whether you're just starting or looking to enhance your CV, this program will provide valuable guidance and experience.

  • Yes! Upon completion of the program, members will receive a Summer Research Experience in Psychology Certificate to showcase their learning and commitment.

  • Yes, other programs are currently under development. One possibility will be a be a monthly membership for the Fall.

  • No, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Longer programs that will be offered in the future may have that opportunity.

  • A program that involves a private practice psychologist, incurs costs that are necessary to cover professional time and preparation.

    Unlike university funded programs, fees are also used for administrative costs, online platforms, guest speakers and other expenses.
